Brandon Heath’s new Christmas song, “Just a Girl” has me enthralled. One line in particular has captured me…
“He’s just a King…a million angels crowding in to see…Jesus there among humanity”
Think on the anticipation the angels in heaven must have experienced upon Jesus coming to earth. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords…the Creator of the heavens and the earth coming among the people He created…coming to die for the people He created.
And, only a few people were there to witness the greatest miracle to ever happen…God becoming a man for the purpose of dying to save man. Hardly anyone knew.
Except the angels knew. The angels knew the most glorious miracle was taking place. We get a glimpse of that in Luke 2.
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
May we all worship as the angels did. May we all realize the great miracle that took place that wonderful day in Bethlehem. May we gather around and worship and cherish this King.
